Restorations

Restorations

Modern techniques to restore your teeth to their natural shape, appearance, and function.

Restoring teeth to health

The incidence of tooth decay has diminished over the years thanks to fluoride and greater patient awareness — but teeth are still susceptible to decay, infection, and breakage, and sometimes need to be restored. With improved techniques and modern technology, we can restore a tooth to its normal shape, appearance, and function. Whenever restorative treatment is needed, we'll always discuss your options and recommend the most comfortable, least-invasive approach.

Dental implants

Implants are a great way to replace missing teeth and a fixed alternative to removable partial or complete dentures. Artificial roots and teeth are surgically placed into the jaw, providing excellent support and stability. They look very natural, and are strong and durable enough to last many years.

Composite fillings

A composite filling repairs a tooth affected by decay, cracks, and fractures. Because composite is tooth-colored, it can be closely matched to your existing teeth — ideal for front teeth and more visible areas.

Crowns

A crown is a covering that encases the entire tooth, restoring it to its original shape and size while protecting and strengthening tooth structure that can't be restored with a filling. Porcelain crowns are the most popular — highly durable and natural-looking.

Dentures & partial dentures

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissue. Complete dentures replace all teeth; partial dentures fill spaces created by missing teeth and keep remaining teeth from shifting. A complete denture may be "conventional" or "immediate."

Fixed bridges

A dental bridge is a fixed appliance and an excellent way to replace missing teeth. The traditional bridge — two crowns over anchoring teeth attached to pontics — is the most popular type.

Root canal therapy

Root canal therapy is needed when the nerve of a tooth is affected by decay or infection. The pulp, nerves, bacteria, and decay are removed and the space is filled with special medicated materials that restore the tooth. It's the treatment of choice to save a tooth that would otherwise be lost.
